Top and bottom ear inserts, the upper and lower parts are the same, mostly open on both sides, but can also be opened on the same side for easy packaging. Widely used and suitable for lighter weight goods.
Designers need to understand classic packaging box types to create stunning packaging for products!
1. Interlocking Box Type
With interlocking ears at the top and bottom, usually opening from two sides, but can also open from one side. Convenient for packaging, widely used, suitable for lighter products.
2. Drawer Type Box
Consists of an inner box and a sleeve, opening and closing by sliding. Uses more paper, slightly higher cost, and is considered a high-quality packaging method, similar to the heaven-and-earth box.
3. Airplane Box Type
When unfolded, the packaging box is a whole sheet of paper. The structure design allows for one-piece molding, eliminating the need for gluing, saving processing costs. Often used for express delivery packaging.
4. Book Type Box
The packaging style resembles a book, opening from the side. The box consists of a front panel and a base. Materials are chosen based on the custom size and function of the box. Some book-type boxes require magnets, metal sheets, etc., and are a high-end option for gift boxes.
5. Heaven-and-Earth Lid Box Type
Consists of a lid and a base, separated from each other. Uses more paper, slightly higher cost, but high quality. Double-layer thickness can be used to increase sturdiness. Suitable for high-end gift boxes, such as clothing, jewelry, or food gift boxes, enhancing the product image.
6. Flip-Lid Box Type
Flip-lid packaging boxes are divided into single and double flip-lids. Double flip-lids consist of a base and two lids; a single flip-lid has one lid. Double flip-lid packaging boxes require relatively complex craftsmanship.
7. Hand-Carry Box Type
The bottom is an interlocking base, increasing load-bearing capacity. The top has a handle design, convenient for assembly and disassembly. Laminated corrugated paper is often used. It is the most commonly used box type for gift boxes, and its biggest advantage is its portability.
8. Polygon Box Type
Uses the heaven-and-earth lid style, but the shape is a pentagon, hexagon, or other polygon. High-end gift boxes give a stable and grand feeling, leaving a deep impression on consumers.
9. Window Box Type
A hole is cut in the paper box to create a window, or transparent cellophane is added to allow for viewing the product. This allows for a direct view of the product, making it easy for customers to observe and increasing the credibility of the product.
